Distinguished metalsmith and 2017 Society of North American Goldsmith’s (SNAG) Lifetime Achievement awardee Helen Shirk will present a survey of artwork from her career spanning over five decades. Shirk’s exploration of color corrosion achieved through a multitude of metal processes that include anodization, patination and plating will be discussed. This year’s DMSE Metal Arts lecture will be held 04.11.18 at 6pm in Room 6-120.
